He's not emo; just hurt. He poured his heart out and basically got it ripped apart. So, he has a reason to be upset. Trust me, it's a pain you can't imagine; you actually have to go through it to fully understand.

But it's not like he's going to start going around being gloomy and everything. He's just hurting right now. He wasn't emo to begin with, just distant, which, if you read up to the latest chapters, is completely understandable.
